Designed by the Earl of Burlington and built between 1725 and 1729, Chiswick House and Gardens is one of London’s most iconic structures. Inspired by Renaissance architects like Andrea Palladio, it features Venetian windows, geometric shapes and a striking steep-pitched dome. It’s a glorious example of 16th-century Italian architecture in London.
The building itself is a masterpiece, but with 65 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland and almost 300 years of fascinating history, there’s plenty more to explore. Ready to visit Chiswick House and Gardens? Read on to learn all you need to know before your trip.
